I wait for the night. I cannot write during the day. The sunlight encourages me to do other things: I waste my life during the day. But during the night, I write.
It's been a while since I last wrote to you, my virtual friends, hasn't it? Sorry. I just haven't been able to find the words. In fact, I'm still struggling to find them now.
Perhaps I should start this post again - begin it with the first line of a song that touches me, and see where we go...
"You got me off the sofa, just sprang out of the air. The best things come from nowhere, I can't believe you care..."
My blog is three today. I met a girl that made me smile. Nothing more - just a simple smile. It's been over a year since I last shed a tear on a therapist's couch. Today I saw a fox. I smiled at it and thought of you. The best things come from nowhere. I love it when you swoon. I am having the time of my life.
Happy Birthday Beautiful Revolution!
And for Andre,
*swoon*

hurrah
If anyone had told me that one day sophisticated ladies would swoon at plain and ordinary, skinny me, I would have laughed. Yet here you are, swooning!!!
It's amazing.

You thought of little ol' me? *swoon*
Posted by: Meesha | January 29, 2007 at 05:12 PM
hurrah!
Posted by: andre | January 29, 2007 at 05:14 PM
I won't swoon, if it's all the same to you.
But happy birthday to your blog (I refuse to say blogiversary because ... well, just because). Your words, thoughts, drawings and photos are constantly inspiring and make me thoroughly jealous (which is a good thing, believe me). But being a lover of good words, it's particularly pleasing to see the return of your own.
I particularly want to know where you see all these wonderful foxes ...

Laurel: As I recently said to a man I've never met 'Don't believe the hype'
Unreliable Witness: I keep the foxes in a tiny section of my brain called joy.
Swoon God damn you Mr Unreliable, swoon!

Robin B: Yes, you have followed my journey from the beginning. What a ride it has been. Thank you for taking the time out of your busy life to spend a while in mine. You are most kind. You are most kind.

happy blog anniversabirthdayish thing to you. :)

Are you skinny? How skinny?
Bet you're not as skinny as me.
But it's all relative I suppose.
I think what I'm trying to extract here are some exact height and breadth dimensions with which to then make a mathematical comparison.
I'm not going to make you a suit if that's what you're thinking.
Posted by: Timbo | January 29, 2007 at 05:38 PM
Nicole: Swoon Goddamn it! I went back to buy your beautiful painting the other week but you had sold it. I was a bit gutted.

My life is much less hectic these days, now that my baby's all grown up and independent.
But I've made that journey too and just tried in my clumsy was to encourage you that the journey was possible, like all these other lovely people here
Posted by: Robin B | January 29, 2007 at 05:50 PM
Yes I see that now. The journey is possible. All you need is faith and sophisticated ladies swooning from afar.
Posted by: andre | January 29, 2007 at 05:52 PM
I'm glad I can contribute to the journey ;)
Posted by: Meesha | January 29, 2007 at 05:59 PM
Oh dear, I didn't realise I had to be sophisticated.
I shall just have to change my name to Faith instead.

Now you are three you are of an age where you may legitimately throw tantrums and no-one can look at you askance.
You can also wet yourself in the supermarket, but I suspect that one wont get as much use.
Posted by: Jack | January 30, 2007 at 09:43 AM
angel: do you know, I really like it when people call my blog 'odd'
joy: I am just ordinary
Jack: I am a paranoid drama queen - of course I throw tantrums... I do not like supermarkets.

"I cannot write during the day."
Bossy cannot write during the night. Complicated, but it has something to do with how she can't type with her eyes closed and can't hold a pen in her sleep.

Sorry I'm late to the party.
Congratulations Andre. Happy third anniversary.

*I have said that line before to a female ... though I do not wish to talk about it here*

skiergirl: I am honoured that you have "favourit-ed," me

Happy Blog Birthday Andre! If it wasn't for your lovely blog I wouldn't have two of my bestest friends.
I was going to say something flippant and then I realised that the above was sort of amazing :)x x
Posted by: Cheerful One | January 30, 2007 at 11:13 AM
Cheerful One: you was going to say something about 'pants' wasn't you?
and yes, your above comment is amazing.
Posted by: andre | January 30, 2007 at 11:17 AM
Andre, if it wasn't for your blog I wouldn't have two of my bestest friends either.
I also wouldn't have grown my hair really long and luscious (he says, tossing luxuriantly).
