'One day the sweet baby Jesus will return to this earth and take me to heaven,' she said.
'What about me?' I asked.
She just shook her head and looked mournfully at the floor.
I laughed; because I thought she was joking. But she wasn't joking - she was deadly serious.
I shall never forget the day she put the fear of God into me.
Let it go. It's over now.

Is that you baby jesus?
How presumptuous you are.
As Morrissey once sang ...
Fame, Fame, fatal Fame
it can play hideous tricks on the brain
but still I rather be Famous
than righteous ... etc, etc, etc

Oh.My.Gosh.
I can't believe she did that.

Hmmm, this person sounds like a judgemental asshole!!! Imaging that, thinking she knows who and who isn't allowed to make it into the big "H". Blow it off Andre....it's folks like this that make REAL christians, or just God loving people look ....ahhh, like hypocrites.
Yes...maybe i'm making too much of this, but wow, what a thing to presume to know!!!!

My granny was a Free Presbyterian and my mother-in-law is a Minnesota Baptist (extra strict). So, you know, I know all the right people and I know I'm going to heaven 'cos they pray for my miserable wee soul. I'll put a good word in for you andmaybe you'll get on their list. Probably after "I pray all the Jews goeth back to the Holy Land, so the Rapture will cometh and I can taketh photos", but before "I pray for the sorry state of the environment and that someone may cleaneth it up".
I, myself will pray for you tonight, my child.

As I said in my very first comment on your blog 90% of the population are arseholes, mindless, sheep like idiots, most of these or relatively harmless but idiots none the less and some can appear quite intelligent. The remaining 10% more than make up for them but are spread quite thin, we wander the world full of these people and occasionally bump into someone with a mind of their own, people who have worked out how the world works with logic and intellect rather than superstition.
It is a huge mistake to try to adapt one's thinking and behaviour to 'fit in' as it sets up a conflict of logic in one's head, it's also a mistake to assume the majority must be right simply because there are so many of them.
Don't trouble yourself with the utterings of fools.

She claims she is religious this girl?
What a sham. An absolute sham.
A person who is really religious and God-abiding knows only too well that no one on earth can make judgment on who will or won't go to the big "H".
People who want to seem like they know better about these things might get judged even more severly than a thief etc cause they set out to know more than God.
Idiots. And all she accomplished was making another human being feel bad and also made a complete fool out of herself.
Don't even spend one second thinking about what she said or did.

oh for christ sake ... this has been said to me by several people ... not one ... it is a comment on the opinion ... not an individual ... and thats the last time I'm gonna explain myself to the Kingdom of blog
Posted by: andre | February 26, 2006 at 05:46 AM
Ok.
Sorry then!
:-)

You have anger issues. You almost sell your soul to get comments from gullible visitors and then display anger as you constantly refresh your screen in an orgasmic flurry of self aggrandisement.
Let it go.

"Oh for Christ's sake" laugh, I nearly shat!
Posted by: Robin | February 26, 2006 at 08:55 AM
sigh ...
dear voice of reason - if you wish to make a comment about me personally or my blog - at least have the decency to say it without hiding behind a fake email address

It's always intrigued me how a supposedly compassionate God -'love that surpasseth all understanding' as I recall - would condemn people for just not being on his side... Even my mum loves me better than that.
Posted by: snowqueen | February 26, 2006 at 03:52 PM
hihi my mother used to say that God would punish me I wonder what God thinks of people who make others feel shitty in His name. It is so cliche, though.....
Posted by: mag | February 26, 2006 at 05:27 PM
Well Andre...it's a sucky opinion then, isn't it. ??? Forget it, unless it's really bugging you, like alot, then....I don't know really....try harder to forget it?
Luv you lots....just be happy damn it.
Even if you can't stand happy people.
Posted by: Darcy | February 27, 2006 at 01:33 AM
Darcy? I am fine ... bit fed up with idiot people presuming everything I write is about them ... maybe I should just write about cats then everyone would be happy - [except me] - so I've decided to write for a while without the comments on - hopefully then, I won't find myself having to explain my every word. But I'm fine.
Posted by: andre | February 27, 2006 at 03:23 AM
Glad to hear you are alright. I can understand your frustration...do whatever you have to in order to feel better. I mean really...it's your damn blog, you should never have to explain anything, to anyone. Unless you want to....right? Yes, of course I am right. *_*
Posted by: Darcy | February 27, 2006 at 09:16 AM
Andre...I have only one thing to add. Then i'll shut up, really, I promise. If people here tend to get defensive about you, it's because they care about you. I know it must suck being so damn popular and loved...but, alas...it is your cross to bear. (Fav quote from my mother, that is)
Email any time...friend of mine.

What Darcy said, absolutely, please don't misunderstand us poor inarticulate twits, many of us have known the torments in your head and still carry scars, we mean well.

Robin - Darcy = everything is cool
Posted by: andre | February 27, 2006 at 05:24 PM
when my mother was undergoing very risky heart surgery, my father (a well-known SOB) said to me:
"well, we know one thing, if something happens to your mother, she'll go to heaven. her and your sister will go to heaven .... you and me, i'm not so sure."
i have never forgotten it for a moment.

new blog...
but please, do check the old one as well:

Andre, i truly do like your writing.
the people you speak of seem like typical religious persons... i personally don't like the idea of "religion". Oh, I love Jesus, and I go to church weekly, but legalistic, "you're going to "H" if you don't smarten up" people, kind of give Christianity a bad name.... and oh, hypocritical they are indeed.
anyways, another wonderful work of writing. thank-you.
